TMS Therapy

Front Street Clinic offers TMS Therapy – TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) Therapy is an FDA-cleared non-invasive medical treatment for patients with major depression who have not benefited from antidepressant medications.

TMS Therapy targeted at a key area of the brain known to be underactive in depression sufferers. It uses focused magnetic pulses to stimulate that area to restore to normal function and lift your depression.

TMS Therapy has been proven highly safe and effective in the treatment of depression. TMS Therapy is free of side effects typically experienced with antidepressant medications. The most common side effect associated with treatment is pain or discomfort at or near the treatment area – generally mild to moderate.

TMS Therapy treatment takes between 20 minutes to an hour and is performed in your doctor’s office, five days a week, for approximately four to six weeks.

During the treatment patients are awake and alert and are able to resume normal activities upon leaving the treatment sessions.

TMS Therapy is bringing new hope every day to people suffering from major depression. Front Street Clinic is the only treatment facility on the peninsula. While TMS Therapy may not be right for everyone, you can contact Front Street Clinic today to schedule a consultation and learn more about how this proven depression treatment may help you. Inquiries by mental health professionals are welcome
